What are NFT's?

What does non-fungible mean? 

The definition states: “of goods contracted for without an individual specimen being specified) replaceable by another identical item; mutually interchangeable.”

Essentially, once a non fungible token has been created, it can always be digitally traced to the owner forever. Dissimilair to a simple file image, an NFT cannot be duplicated within the blockchain. This gives it the same category of owning an original piece of art. (You can go to the Louvre and take pictures of the mona lisa, this doesnt mean you own the original piece)

What can NFT’s can represent? 

Property, achievement, trophies, unique video games, digital collectables and even digital identification. 

Although the current use of NFT’s is not widely understood, this will be an area to keep an eye on to ensure you are educated on the world of Non Fungible Tokens. 

What is a good example of an NFT? How is it being used in mainstream society?

Is Meta Mask safe? The meta mask is considered a “hot” wallet, used on computers whilst connected to the internet. It hasn’t suffered any major hacks and is widely used around the globe. Metamask has a dedicated community of developers consistently updating the open-source code. As the wallet is online, there is always more risk than hardware wallets. Once the meta mask is created you receive a 12-word seed phrase. Meta Mask does not control any of your personal or private data.
